A power of doing just one thing

February 25, 2015 milabassett 2 Comments

As a perpetually busy mama of four perpetually busy kids, most days I am split in a dozen different directions, trying to stay on top of things. Honestly, I like it this way (not that I have a lot of choice, ha). I like the sense of progress and accomplishment. But there are days, or even weeks, when I find it hard to move on. Do you know what I mean? The days when I simply have too much on my plate to handle, and all I really want to do is drop on the sofa with a book. Is this a familiar feeling?

I have noticed though that ignoring all of the daily obligations never works for me either. Things snowball and make me more overwhelmed in the end. There is a solution that I found works great for me to weather those days when you reach the bottom of your energy well. Here is a hint:

the power of doing one thing

I am sharing it today at “Living In This Season”. Please stop by Keri’s blog and see if this solution sounds like something that could make your life easier. While you are there feel free to browse– Keri’s blog is a wonderful resource for all things family, faith, marriage and motherhood. Some of my favorite posts are 9 Marriage Tips and Ways to Enjoy Your Season. You will find some easy family-approved recipes (I made this twice) and kids activities (I want to try the “Puffy Snowman” with my toddler). I really like Keri’s emphasis on being present in the “now” and making the best of it. Thanks, for having me, Keri!
